September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Victoria Public Library wants to make sure that everyone in Victoria has the smartest card of all – a library card.
Activities at the Victoria Public Library during Library Card Sign-up Month include Story Times, Anime and Gaming for Teens, Family Night, Lego Club and more. For event information go to the Events Calendar.
“A library card has always been the most important school supply of all,” says Dayna Williams-Capone, Library Director. “Today’s libraries are thriving technology hubs that millions rely on as either their first or only choice for computer and Internet access. In doing so, libraries provide children with not only the tools to be literate, but information literate as well. There’s a lot happening at Victoria Public Library, and the best part for both children and parents – in these tough economic times - is that it’s free with a library card.”
