WHAT IS THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM?
The Summer Reading Program (SRP) is a FREE program aimed at encouraging children to read during the summer. The SRP programs are designed for, but not limited to, toddlers, PreK– entering 1st grade, and students entering 2nd through 5th grades. Register your child at the information desk to get a reading log. Each reading log helps children keep track of how long they read. After completing three hours of reading children return the log to the library and receive a prize. The more reading a child does the more prizes they obtain. At the end of the summer the library celebrates with a party, each child who completes one reading log will receive an invitation to the Wild West Reading Show SRP Party.
HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?
Registration starts June 1st and continues through the summer. Pick up a registration card at the Library Information Desk or click here to print a copy. Complete the Registration card and return it to the information desk at the Victoria Public Library—
302 N. Main. If you are registering in conjunction with a park, daycare, or school program, return the form to your coordinator.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
All library events are FREE to attend.
Due to space considerations some events require parents to pre-register their children before attending
