Monique Whitley was recently hired by Planning Services as a community development planner. In this role, she will serve as the Community Development Block Grant coordinator and will be responsible for a variety of Community Development Block Grant, affordable housing and revitalization activities.
Prior to her current role, Whitley worked as the customer service coordinator in the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office at Texas State University. She also recently served as the coordinator for the Emergency Aid Network project for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. In that role, she advocated for emergency aid programs in higher education institutions across the state of Texas and nationally.
