[ARCHIVED] City of Victoria to host Merry on Main with Mother Cluckers Downtown

PHOTO #1: Mother Cluckers Downtown will host an open-air market during Merry on Main Dec. 13 in downtown Victoria.

Residents will have a chance to enjoy live music and festive activities while shopping for unique gifts during Merry on Main 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 13 in downtown Victoria.

Mother Cluckers Downtown will host an open-air market throughout the event, featuring more than 100 vendors.

Food trucks will be on-site from noon to 4 p.m., along with children’s activities:

  • Santa Claus sitting in a chair at the De Leon Plaza gazeboPictures with Santa
  • Letters to Santa with the Victoria Police Department
  • Storytime with Mrs. Claus
  • Ornament coloring with the Victoria Public Library
  • Bounce houses

Starting at 4 p.m., Foamed Up will fill the air with foam “snowflakes” at De Leon Plaza.

A band playing with instruments decorated with Christmas lights and a Grinch blowupThe evening will feature live music at the De Leon Plaza performance pavilion. Rose Marie will perform 5-6:30 p.m., followed by the Christmas Tree Huggers 6:30-8 p.m.

The area around De Leon Plaza will close to traffic during the event. Motorists should exercise caution and should not attempt to drive into barricaded areas.

Handicapped-accessible parking will be available on West Forrest Street near De Leon Plaza.
