Residents will be able to provide feedback on proposed upgrades at the Victoria Community Center during the final public input session for the Victoria Community Center & Fairgrounds master plan.
The City of Victoria and architectural consultant Populous, Inc., will host the meeting 6-7:30 p.m. April 29 at the Victoria Community Center Annex.
The public input process for the new master plan began with a survey that opened Jan. 30 and closed Feb. 18. The survey attracted nearly 900 responses.
The consultant also hosted an open house March 20 to provide a progress update and accept further feedback. Attendees expressed interest in upgrading the community center to host larger events and new types of events. The idea of adding a rodeo arena was especially popular.
After the second public meeting, the consultant will meet with the steering committee to incorporate feedback and create a finished draft of the master plan, which will be brought to the City Council for adoption later this spring.
