Municipal Court clerk Tara Tinney recently earned her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice administration from the University of Phoenix. Through this program, she gained a fundamental understanding of the criminal justice system; studied criminology, community policing and change management; and developed relevant administrative skills. Tinney began working for the City in February 2023, and she has completed the City’s Civilian Police Academy and Civilian Responder Program. She is also certified as a child passenger safety technician through the Texas Department of State Health Services’ Safe Riders Child Passenger Safety Program, and she holds a Level I Clerk Certification from the Texas Court Clerks Association in conjunction with the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center.
