Residents will have another chance to watch top amateur athletes from around the state and beyond as the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Winter Games of Texas continues this weekend.
The Winter Games will kick off Feb. 14 with multiple events, including the start of a two-day youth fastpitch softball tournament:
- Adaptive basketball: Victoria ISD STEM Middle School, 8 a.m. Feb. 14
- E-sports (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate): Texas A&M University-Victoria, 11 a.m. Feb. 14
Softball: Youth Sports Complex, 8 a.m. Feb. 14-15- Tennis: Victoria Country Club, 8:30 a.m. Feb. 14
The City is seeking volunteers to help with event setup, athlete support and game operations. Food will be provided, and every volunteer will receive a free T-shirt.
