Keep Victoria Beautiful assists with Texas Zoo beautification project

Two people work in a flowerbed at the Texas Zoo sign surrounded by potted plants

Larry and Cheryl Clark, volunteers with the Victoria County Master Gardeners Association, help to replant a flowerbed during a Sept. 11 beautification project at The Texas Zoo. Volunteers with Keep Victoria Beautiful, the Victoria County Master Gardeners Association and The Texas Zoo replanted four flowerbeds at the zoo. The board of The Texas Zoo reached out to KVB to help with the beautification project ahead of the zoo’s Wild About Wine event on Sept. 24, and KVB coordinated with the Victoria County Master Gardeners to help with the planting. City of Victoria beautification coordinator Christy Youker said that KVB staff hope to collaborate with the zoo for future beautification projects.
