Prices

• Local Birth Certificates: $23 each
• Remote Birth Certificates: $23 each (those from other counties in Texas)
• Death Certificates: $21 for the first copy, $4 for each additional copy within the same transaction (Victoria County only)

Obtaining a Certificate

To obtain a birth certificate or death certificate valid identification is required. State regulations require that mail-in applications (PDF) be notarized and sent through the mail. Emailed and faxed applications cannot be accepted.

Valid Identification

• State-issued driver’s license
• Military ID
• Prison ID
• State-issued ID card
• English brochure (PDF)/Spanish brochure (PDF) of other types of ID, one of which contains a signature

Mailed Applications

If sending by mail, please include a check or money order payable to the City of Victoria for the correct amount.
