Cheryl Marthiljohni

Cheryl Marthiljohni, Director of Human Resources

Cheryl is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Human Resources and Safety function within the organization. Her role is to support the organization by managing resources related to employees. The HR/Safety department develops and administers programs that are designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. Major focus areas include employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruiting and staffing, training and learning, organization development, and employee safety.

The HR/Safety department strives to enhance the livability of our community by being an employer of choice that has a workforce impacting our community in positive and measurable ways.

Wanda Miori-North

Wanda Miori-North, Human Resources Manager

Wanda is responsible for designing, coordinating, administering, and implementing various human resources programs such as compensation, benefits, performance management, training, and employee relations to effectively manage, retain and develop City of Victoria’s team of employees. Wanda also works closely with the Director of Human Resources and other members of the Human Resources department and City departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the City’s payroll processing and application of city’s benefit programs. In her spare time, she enjoys the involvement with her grandchildren and the adventures of traveling.

Katelyn Randall

Katelyn Randall, Payroll/ Benefits Specialist

Katelyn is responsible for processing our organization’s payroll, assisting and advising employees on insurance and benefits programs, and supporting the Human Resources manager in coordinating and performing various human resources programs such as compensation, benefits, and performance management. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and two dogs.


Brian Haney

Brian Haney, Safety Specialist

Brian is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the City's safety program in a way that reduces or eliminates occupational injuries, illnesses, and liability claims to the City. Including developing and implementing a safety program that encourages a proactive safety culture to include policies, training, and safety assessments. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing.

Sarah Parsons

Sarah Parsons, Training and Development Specialist

Sarah is responsible for designing, coordinating, administering, and implementing strategies for training initiatives, including leadership and development, for all levels of employees. She is also responsible for establishing and maintaining employee development that promotes the City as an Employer of Choice. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, bingeing marvel movies, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Hannah Means

Hannah Means, HR Generalist

Hannah oversees the daily functions of the Human Resources/Safety department. Hannah performs tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; corrective action matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and employee morale; and occupational health and safety.  In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with family, friends, and two dogs.

 

Mariah Munoz

Mariah Munoz, HR Generalist

Mariah oversees the daily functions of the Human Resources/Safety department. Mariah performs tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; corrective action matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and employee morale; and occupational health and safety. In her spare time, Mariah enjoys baking, watching movies, and spending time with family and three dogs.
